We visited Ioannina for the annual 30K running event around the lake. The staff was super polite and helpful, they had arranged for early breakfast service for those of us who would be running/power walking and they offered us free of charge late checkout option. They even allowed me to park my car for an extra hour in their garage. The breakfast buffet was spectacular and had anything a person could ask for. They carried our bags for us and offered free of charge water bottles and a plate of pastries (they were delicious). Their shampoo and soap were top notch!

The room was nicely decorated in a traditional, local style that gave it a unique touch. It was also very clean and well kept. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet, especially the local pies and desserts. My favorite part of the stay was having coffee by the pool in the morning with the city view in the distance. I also appreciated the delicious welcome treats, and the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

The Grand Serai is an elegant hotel with beautiful public spaces. The grand piano in the lobby, the carved woodwork, the sumptuous seating areas all said, come linger awhile. The rooms are large and beautifully appointed, and the bathrooms are spacious. My bathroom even had a chandelier. The breakfast buffet had an amazing array of choices. Everything we sampled was delicious. The staff was multi lingual, efficient, and very accommodating. We enjoyed coffee and after dinner drinks in their bar area. Our server was very pleasant and very attentive to our requests. The hotel is well located. Everything is within walking distance - the shops, restaurants, the fortress, the lake. We had a grand experience, and would return in a heart beat!

The position of the hotel, very closed to the centre. The recepsionist upgraded us in a bigger room, which was really appreciated by us. The superior room was big and comfort. The breakfast was very good and abondant.

Love this hotel, centrally located, just a short stroll to eateries, shops and attractions. Nice comfy rooms with large bathrooms. Very nice and polite staff, with an exceptional breakfast buffet, boasting a huge variety of tastes and flavors. Have stayed at this hotel many time without disappointment, highly recommend it, do yourself a favor and enjoy some luxury.

This is a fabulous hotel in a very interesting city, well worth visiting. The hotel is in the city centre, about 1km from the ancient Kastro at the lakeside, with its buzzy bars and restaurants, easily reached by car or taxi. Very quiet, comfortable room, wonderful 40m swimming pool (pool towels provided!), excellent breakfast, extremely helpful staff. The hotel has a carpark.

Everything was amazing! We even got a free room upgrade to a suite! The staff was super friendly, the room was huge, the breakfast was endless, and everything was fantastic. And above all, the price wasn't a 5-star hotel price AT ALL! Highly recommended, and for sure, I will have to return when visiting Ioannina again. Thanks to all the staff for an amazing stay!
